3 Giants

The 3 Giants is a collection of works inspired by Japan's most recognisable convenience stores: Lawson, FamilyMart and 7-Eleven. Taking something usually discarded within seconds, each artwork transforms an ordinary receipt into a monumental object.

The receipts capture the small, everyday transactions that become part of travelling through Japan: late-night snacks, morning coffees, convenience-store dinners and the countless little purchases made along the way. Enlarged, crumpled and preserved in metal, these temporary records become physical reminders of moments that might otherwise disappear.

Together, these pieces celebrate the familiar giants of Japanese convenience-store culture, turning everyday evidence of a trip into something impossible to throw away.
